LandVoyage.com wins the Northern Colorado Business Report Innovation Quotient (IQ) Award
|
FORT COLLINS, CO – July 22, 2003 -– LandVoyage.com, a leading online mapping and
imagery company, was awarded the Northern Colorado Business Report Innovation
Quotient (IQ) Award in the Internet category at the annual awards luncheon
ceremony. This award is given to honor innovative products and services
developed by northern Colorado and southern Wyoming companies. It covers
industries such as finance, technology, computers, real estate, and non profit
organizations.
"Everyone here at LandVoyage is thrilled to have won the IQ Award," said Project Manager Brian Randy Funk.
"This really shows what hard work, innovation, and a little bit of synergy can accomplish."
The Northern Colorado Business Report received over forty nominations for the IQ
Award. LandVoyage.com was then selected as a finalist in the Internet category,
along with HorseSportsWorld, SharpNet Solutions, and Keep Employees.
LandVoyage.com then received the award after being chosen by an independent
panel of 5 judges. They judges consider the following criteria in making their
selections: high degree of innovation; strong market potential; potential for
profitability; ideas that are clever, unique, and creative; and products that
have come to market within the last 18 months.
"These products demonstrate the talent and innovation that flows out of Colorado,"
said Northern Colorado Business Report co-publisher Christopher Wood. The IQ
Awards ceremony took place in Fort Collins, Colorado in the Holiday Inn banquet
hall. Guest panelists Irv Christy of Co-Create Software, Tom Frey of DaVinci Institute, Randy Zwetzig of ICE Energy,
and Peter Simpson of IDEO Boulder spoke about their companies and the concepts
of innovation.
"This award really goes to all the LandVoyage.com members," said systems engineer Kyle
Legg. "Our members keep us in business and allow us to continue to provide a
valuable mapping service."
